THE GOAL IS ALWAYS CLEAR

IMPROVE SKILLS SET UNDER A POSITIVE TEAM ATMOSPHERE

WHAT TO EXPECT AT SKILL SESSIONS

A low player to coach ratio with an emphasis on quality repetitions. We do not speed through our reps. Instead, we stop, explain and demo what we want to see. Players will be required to work hard and remain focused under a team first atmosphere.

OUR DEFINITION OF A TEAM ATMOSPHERE

A learning environment in which all individuals are treated equally while working toward a common goal. Players are expected to encourage and support each other while maintaining a high set of values at SCS. A player's attitude will never be overlooked. Every player will learn teamwork is essential and participation in it is mandatory. It is critical that all are accepted and respected, leading all to be more motivated to contribute to the team’s goals. They must first be treated as team members before they will act the part.

WHY SO MUCH IMPORTANCE PUT ON A TEAM ATMOSPHERE?

Putting our hockey players in this positive environment will allow them to grow athletically, physically, emotionally, and intellectually. We practice good hockey related habits so why not practice good life habits at the same time.
